Alors que WB Games se remet mal des déboires de Batman Arkham Knight sur PC, c'est au tour de Call Of Duty Black Ops III de faire parler de lui pour de mauvaises raisons. Plusieurs médias dont Kotaku ou la chaîne YouTube Idiotech font état de problèmes de performances. Certains affectent des phases aléatoires du jeu, pas forcément les plus exigeantes d'ailleurs selon Kotaku. Le bug le plus gênant est néanmoins une fuite de mémoire qui fait tomber le framerate à un niveau difficilement tolérable au bout de quelques minutes de jeu. Idiotech rapporte ainsi des avertissements de Windows à répétition à peine le jeu lancé ». Le youtubeur, dont le PC est équipé de 16 Go de mémoire vive, affirme avoir réussi à faire tomber l'usage de la mémoire à seulement » 8 Go après avoir réduit drastiquement les paramètres graphiques le jeu avalait les 16 Go sans intervention de sa part, provoquant des ralentissements jusqu'à 25 FPS, des sorties vers le bureau, voire le plantage complet de son PC dû à l'instabilité de son overclocking. Black Ops 3 s'attribuerait également toute la RAM vidéo d'une carte graphique, qu'elle soit équipée de 4 ou 12 Go. Le site TechPowerUp confirme ces problèmes avec une machine équipée d'un Core i7 Haswell, d'une carte NVIDIA Geforce 980 Ti et de 8 Go de mémoire vive, mais rapporte ne pas avoir rencontré le moindre problème en passant à 16 Go. Selon Kotaku, le développeur Treyarch parle d'un problème affectant un faible nombre de PC, notamment équipés de processeurs Intel i5 ». Un patch a déjà été publié mais celui-ci serait inefficace. Rien d'alarmant selon Kotaku, qui rappelle que Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare avait souffert des mêmes problèmes à son lancement, avant d'être rapidement corrigé.

How to Enable Dev Console in Call of Duty Black Ops Singleplayer 1. Open your with notepad. for Black Ops is located here. program files/Steam/steamapps/common/call of duty black ops/players 2. Now search for “seta monkeytoy”. You can press CTRL+F and type it in. 3. Change seta monkeytoy “1” to seta monkeytoy “0”, replacing 1 with zero. 4. Save the changed you made in the config and start the game. Now you can access the dev console by pressing tild key ~. How To Change FOV in Single Player 1. Open console by pressing “~” on keyboard, you can find it just under ESC button or top right just above TAB key. 2. Now you already know how to change the field of view that is by using this command “cg_fov X” where X is your desired FOV. Default FOV for the game is 65, I believe. I play on 80, so let it be 80. 3. Now the most important step, you must prefix any command you enter in SP console with a semicolon, forward slash \ or back slash / . More FPS. r_drawwater “0” r_drawsun “0” Removes the sun and water effects. r_drawfog “0” Remove Fog. sensitivity “3” Set your mouse sensitivity in-game. Just a few days ago, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 was released for gamers on Windows 10 PC, alongside consoles. But, as was evident with the release of Batman Arkham Knight, PC gamers are getting the short end of the stick it seems. According to a report, players of the Windows PC version have been encountering major issues with the game, citing the inability to play the game and ridiculously low frame rates. The complaints are everywhere - on the game's official forums and the Steam community forums. For some gamers, the game won't even load, crashing as soon as the publisher's logo appears on screen. Treyarch developed the PC version of the game and is suggesting gamers mess with the INI file until a fix becomes available. Treyarch is aware of "very low frame rates" on "certain Intel Core i5 CPUs" and suggests eiding the INI file to resolve some of the issues immediately. In the file, you can try changing WorkerThreads = 4 to WorkerThreads = 2. This file is located in the players folder of your game installation directory. An update to the game for Windows was released earlier today and is expected to fix these issues, but it's too early to tell if all the problems faced with the game were resolved. Currently running my C2Q Q9550 with a Palit Sonic Platinum GTX460 850mhzcore. Well CoD Black Ops hits 50fps max when nothing is blowing up but averages at 30-35FPS, and reaches an average of 45-50% GPU usage. I am running at 1360x768 which is know is low, but I find it hard to believe its causing this huge GPU usage problem. Adjusting settings to lowest quality results in the same FPS. The typical poor GPU optimzation scenario I am assuming as my CPU is not bottlenecking my 460 as it is under 50% usage on every core when running COD Black Ops. EDIT Rechcked this and it builds up to 100% CPU usage after a few minutes into the game. I read in another on steam forums that someone though it was not dumping to the Ram properly. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this or any fixes other than waiting once again for a new batch of Nvidia drivers. Frankly I am tired of this bullcrap being released without optimization-but I am biased after 2months of waiting for an F1 2010 patch that didnt fix anything. Yeah i went back and played some more and found out hat my CPU is running close to 100% on every core in fact. For some reason my core temp froze up at lower CPU usage on my LCD screen when I looked at it before. One core was at 100% when lots of stuff was blowing up and the otehrs were between 80-95%. And so the GPU was left with very little room to breathe. I also noticed that my CPU usage goe to 100% on every core after i change some video settings or alt-tab back into the game-after a few secs it comes back to a lower usage level, i guess thats normal? I can get 60fps in rooms when nothing is happening and im just running around. It seems to slow down the m ost when explosions are going off which is to be expected. I run it at 60 FPS constant now on an E6600 + 5770. It looks like Treyarch got a bit lazy in the config files. First of all, there are two config files. One for singleplayer, one for multiplayer. so make sure you change both. Go to your Call of Duty Black Ops folder, then go into Player, and there should be a config and also a config_mp. Open it up and look for the lines... seta r_multiGpu "1" seta r_multithreaded_device "0" Interesting! Apparently Treyarch thinks most people have 2+ GPUs and 1 CPU. Ofcourse, if you have 2 GPUs, leave multigpu set to 1 and I assume anyone who is trying to play this game has at least a dual core, so change multithreaded_device to 1. Please use at your own disgression, I actually broke my Call of Duty install after doing this the first time. I reinstalled and for whatever reason, it worked the second time I tried it. Setting r_multithreaded_device to "1" did seem to make my FPS more stable though, but it wasn't really an issue to begin with. Ok great, I'll give it a shot. I've done some reading and apparently its a "known" issue now say the developers. But hopefully one of these fixes will give me a playable framerate tonight.
